Class Curriculum update:
Math
Measurement is the focus of our next few chapters. We are beginning by working on measuring length. We will use customary units, including inches, feet, and yards, and metric units, including centimeters and meters.
|
Science
We are starting out our Life Science unit by studying the human body. We will be learning about the heart, brain, lungs, bones, and muscles, and how they help our body work. Later in this unit, we will learn about life cycles and habitats of plants and animals.
|
Writing
We are continuing to work on showing elaboration in our writing. Students are working on writing their own fairy tale stories. We will even illustrate them and "publish" them by making them into books.
